Alexander Demeshko is the product of Brest football school and he is one of the players, who lifted the Belarusian Cup in 2007 together with the native team.
After return to Brest in 2015, the forward became an indispensable part of the team.
Last season, being a captain, he scored 6 times in 23 games. We was leading the race of top scorers of the league for some time, and his two goals in the game against fierce rivals Neman, which sealed the first home win in that season, will be remembered for a long time.
The following quotation will clearly describe Alexander Demeshko as a player, captain and Dynamo man: "When the coach delegates you such a responsibility as an appointment as a captain of the team, you cannot but must live up the trust. It is in my nature to set the highest and the most ambitious goals. Perhaps, the main quality of my personality is inability to lose. Mr. Kovalchuk knows it and trusts me. I had beautiful mentors, like Dmitry Chalay, Sergey Kozak and Viktor Sokol. I looked up to them and tried to follow their examples. Because if you are the captain, you should take care of the team, not of yourselves. The healthy atmosphere in the dressing room is one of the most vital issues and I think we have it. If a new player arrives to the club and works off his pants on the pitch, you always treat him as a Dinamo man. You don’t think of his origin and the country or continent the player came from… My heart belongs to Dynamo. From the city upon Bug".
