On 13 August the 25-year-old midfielder signed contract until January 2020.
Bykov started his career in Zvezda-BGU. In 2011 he moved to Dinamo Minsk to play for the second team. The first half of 2012 he spent on loan in Bereza-2010, after which started making more appearances for the first Dinamo team.
Artem established himself as a first-team defensive midfielder in 2013. On 26 October 2013 he scored his first goal in the league, having pegged a long-shot strike against Gomel. In 2014 he remained as the first choice for Minsk team, sometimes playing as a wide midfielder. On 20 July 2014 he got a serious injury in the game against Dynamo Brest after a challenge from Luben Nikolov, but returned to full training in November.
Artem started the season-2015 as a main midfielder, but didn’t show his best performance after the injury. In August 2015 he was loaned by FC Minsk, where played as a left midfielder. Bykov returned to Dinamo in the end of the season.
The season-2016 he spent as a first-team player of Dinamo, sometimes appearing as a central defender. In 2017 Artem played as a central midfielder, but later was moved to the left flank of defense. In January 2018 he prolonged the contract with Dinamo, but in August 2018 terminated it on mutual agreement.

Bykov has been playing for Belarusian U-21 team. In May 2014 he received the first call-up into Belarusian National Team, where made the debut on 18 May 2014 in a friendly against Iran. In total Bykov has 9 appearances for the National Team.
