On 29 August Football Club Dynamo Brest and physical culture and sports club for disabled people “Shans” signed a cooperation agreement, shared with plans for the future and told the journalists about boccia.
Football Club Dynamo Brest launched cooperation with” Shans” club within the framework of corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy to promote and draw attention to the Paralympic kind of sports – boccia.
Boccia is one of few kinds of sports that allows people with most difficult forms of cerebral palsy and diseases of locomotor apparatus to realize themselves in the game and feel better. This is an exciting team game for accuracy, belonging to ball sports, related to petanque and bowling. Boccia was included into the program of Paralympic Games in 1984.

We are happy to start working together with one of leading clubs in Belarusian football, our native Dynamo Brest. We are sure this partnership would help us in reaching wide audience and drawing attention to the kind of sports we are promoting. Regular boccia trainings improve agility, accuracy, stamina, coordination and help thinking tactically.
Boccia is not traumatic, and available for everyone as an example of a healthy way of life and recreation. This is exactly the kind of sports that can unite both people with physical disabilities and their relatives and friends in one game.

We clearly realize that Paralympic sports is the example of how people find power and win despite points and medals are not so important in the sports. They overcome themselves every day. And the potential seen by us, says that there’s no height that cannot be taken.

Football Club Dynamo Brest continues to realize own development strategy through programs of corporate social responsibility. For instance, the employees of our club regularly do trainings and internship, improve own level to apply knowledge in work.
For more than 3 years the club supports the Republican Center of Medical Rehabilitation for children with psycho-neurological diseases “Tonus”: the Center is regularly visited by our footballers; kids and staff of the Center often visit our home games. There’s system work on saving the heritage of Brest football is being done. Other CSR projects are also planned to be launched”.
