New Head Coach Radoslav Latal announced his assistant. This is a Czech specialist Marcel Licka.
He was born on 17 July 1977 in Ostrava and for 13 years of his playing career, made 171 appearances in Czech championship. Also he has been playing in Poland and Spain, from 1997 to 1999 has been calling up to Czech U21 team. Licka has been performing as a midfielder.
During the career, he has been playing for Banik Ostrava (Czech Republic), Slavia Prague (Czech Republic), Chmel Blsany (Czech Republic), Viktoria Zizkov (Czech Republic), Fastav Zlin (Czech Republic), Gurnik Zabrze (Poland), Dyskobolia Grodzisk Wielkopolski (Poland), Horadada Alicante (Spain), Calais (France) and Kladno (Czech Republic).
After retirement as a player, Marcel has started to coach in Kunice and Chmel, simultaneously working as a TV-expert. It’s curious to know, that his younger brother Mario has been playing for French FC Brest from 2010 till 2013.
Radoslav Latal has highly assessed the abilities of his new assistant: “His father Verner is a famous coach, and younger brother plays in Czech minor leagues. I know, that he is a good assistant. He works well with physical conditions of footballers, which is very important for me. By the way, Marcel has been working with Dusan Uhrin-jr”.
According to Latal’s words, other candidates into his staff are being discussed.
