On 12 January in Dynamo Brest’s Minsk office there was held a press conference, where has been signed a contract with new Head Coach Radoslav Latal, and introduced his assistant Marcel Licka. The agreements with Czech specialists are signed on 1+1 scheme: one season with option of prolongation for another season.
Press conference started with the introductory word of General Manager of Dynamo Brest Valdas Ivanauskas.
Life is constantly changing, and this is the time of changes in Dynamo Brest: we welcome new Head Coach Radoslav Latal and his assistant Marcel Licka. Our club has maximal goals and the forthcoming season is not an exception. We had to search for another coach after Vladimir Zhuravel’s departure. It’s not a secret, that there were plenty of candidates.
We’ve reached common agreement, that Radoslav Latal is the coach, who can help the team to reach the set goals and perform better than last year.
I shouldn’t tell again about his playing career, attitude to football and previous coaching experience. We’ve gathered full information. We are sure, the set goals will be reached. Radoslav has spent a long period of his career in Germany. I think, you realize, what is Germany and why this is the best football country in the world. Some peculiarities, if borrowed, can help our players and club develop. The coach wished to have Marcel Licka as an assistant, and his wish was fulfilled. I want to thank Radoslav, who has agreed to take this hard job. We believe he’ll reach success.
New Head Coach and his assistant took a word after Ivanauskas.
Radoslav Latal: “First task that I have for first two months – is to get acquainted with the team, evaluate its strong and weak points.”
Marcel Licka: “I am very happy to work this season with Radoslav. We know each other long ago since I’ve been in U21 team, and he – in the National one. I have been working with some famous coaches before and hope we can achieve success in this club.”

After introductory words of the three speakers, the specialists signed contracts. Then journalists could ask questions.
Can you announce goals for 2018?
Valdas Ivanauskas: “Last year in Grodno a momentous occasion has happened – victory in Belarusian Cup. I’ve been there and was happy, although haven’t been a part of the club so far. The goals for this season are maximal. We want to finish in the League higher than last season. We also participate in the Cup and want to repeat last year’s success. We know that this will be uneasy. The common goal is to become better in terms of both sport results and overall club structure.”
What do you know about the team?
Radoslav Latal: “I’ve watched a couple of games. We plan to perform at high level in the League and Cup”.
You’ve told that you will get acquainted with the team soon. Are there some players you’d like to see in Dynamo Brest?
No names so far.
When will you join the team and when the trainings will start?
First training is scheduled for Monday. We’ll spend two days in Brest, and on 18 January will fly to Turkey.
Will your Polish experience help you to settle in Belarus faster?
Maybe, I know little about local mentality so far.
Are you happy with the schedule of first camp?
Yes, I am happy with the team and conditions. The friendly against Crvena Zvezda is on the way.
